When Life Gives You Lemons (2017)

Drawn by searchlights visible from the hotel balcony, I arrived at a newly constructed entertainment district built to accommodate the growing influx of Chinese tourists in Siem Reap - alive at night but unfinished by day.

Over three days, I observed this site in transition; temporary architectures, festivity and the conditions of migrant workers who construct this space designed for leisure while remaining outside it.
