Sacred River, 2017
A narrow body of flowing water that never remains the same - a river is a process, a metaphor for change and impermanence. Rivers shape the landscape, nurture society and have kept civilisations creative.
Devoid of humans, the landscapes in Sacred River evokes an apocalyptic scenario - industrial machinery, concrete buildings and plastic waste becomes relics left behind by humanity, even as the river, with its purificatory powers and regenerative capacity, slowly heals itself and continues to flow.
